Terms of use
Effective 11 September 2026. These terms cover the Wattmap terminal at wattmap.co/app and the free directory at wattmap.co.
1. What you are getting
Wattmap gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the terminal and its data for your own work, or your employer's, while your trial or subscription is active. The free directory pages may be read and linked to by anyone.
2. What you may not do
- Copy, redistribute, resell, publish or share the terminal's data, in whole or in substantial part, outside your organisation.
- Extract data by automated means, including scripts, scrapers, browser automation or bulk downloads beyond the export features we provide for ordinary use.
- Share your login, or use one account for more than one person.
- Use the data to build a competing dataset or product.
Ordinary use includes exporting a filtered list for your own analysis or CRM. It does not include exporting the whole dataset for redistribution.
3. Where the data comes from, and what we promise
Wattmap is compiled from public filings, permits, utility dockets, press releases and news reports, each recorded with its source. We work to keep it accurate and current, but it is provided as is. It is not investment, legal or engineering advice, and figures should be verified against the linked source before you rely on them for a decision.
4. Trials, subscriptions and cancellation
A free trial lasts seven days from sign-up and needs no payment details. After the trial the terminal requires a paid subscription, billed monthly and cancellable at any time from the billing portal; access continues to the end of the period paid for. One free trial per person.
5. Your account and your data
We store your email, your login credentials in hashed form, your subscription status and a record of when you sign in, load data and export it. We use this to run the service, to keep it secure and to understand how it is used. We do not sell it. Ask [email protected] to delete your account and we will.
6. Ending access
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, in particular section 2, without refund of the current period. You may close your account at any time.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top changes when we do, and material changes are announced in the terminal.
